The star of the Dallas Mavericks Luka Doncic is undoubtedly one of the most talented young players of the NBA. He has become one of the top players in the entire league right from the first year when he entered it.

The Slovenian superstar is also the favorite young player of a former NBA star Tracy McGrady who complimented his skills while pointing at his lack of athleticism.

“Luka is pretty damn good,” McGrady said when asked by Rich Eisen on his show about which young player is the next big thing in the NBA. “I love watching Luka because Luka is not the fastest, he’s not the quickest, he can’t jump over a dollar but skill-wise, his skill level is off the charts.

“He knows how to control the pace of the game, he knows how to create space and get his shot off of anybody, whether it’s somebody that’s bigger, stronger, quicker than him. He just knows how to play the game and control the pace.”

This past season Doncic averaged 28.4 points, 9.1 rebounds and 8.7 assists in 35.4 minutes per game for the Mavs.
