Type of Motorcycle Currently Riding: Victory Crossroads and BMW R1100RSL Not a switch. It sits on the bottom of the front brake master cylinder reservoir. It covers the fluid return hole so the fluid stays in the fluid, if that makes sense. If I remember correctly, the little tips go down. You’ll see how it fits when you put it back in. DP Informative x 1 Sorry I may have misspoke but I’m 99% it triggers the brake lights Denny Pink Member Joined: Aug 2, 2016 Messages: 58 Likes Received: 23 Location: Fort Collins, CO. To the OP, Choice 1963, did you have the reservoir cap off when you took it off the bike? If not, then it must be the brake light piece, sorry for the confusion.DP Useful x 1 Good to know Choice1963 New Member Joined: Mar 31, 2015 Messages: 14 Likes Received: 7 Location: Miami, FL Type of Motorcycle Currently Riding: 2013 Boardwalk Thanks for the responses, I believe Denny is correct and it is a deflector for the compensating port on the cylinder. My problem is not sure which direction the tabs go, up or down? The picture I have from the manual is very poor (re-copy).
